The Rockies – Banff – Lake Moraine and Lake Louise

Couldn't go to Banff without seeing some of the more famous lakes.

First to Lake Moraine which is the lesser known of the 2 but supposed to be the bluer. Sadly the sun wasn't shining but you could still see the colour if you hiked along the lake

Not too blue at this point but look at the reflections

At the far end of the lake there were some great glacier views

Full length of the lake. Imagine how blue it would have looked in sunshine! Some mad people even took boats out in the cold and rain

And so on to Lake Louise – the most famous one.

Taking a small rest just before we start out third and final hike for the day

Looking back at the length of the lake. The Fairmont hotel is not for those without a good sense of direction as it is so big you would get lost
