One of the main stopping points along the 300km Icefield Parkway route is the Columbia icefield. You can walk on the glacier to get a sense of how huge is it
As you drive towards it you start to get a sense of how big it is
We were lucky enough to see it in the sunshine so really got to see it at its best
Start to get the sense of the scale now you see the trucks and people on it?
So you get to go on a very cool big truck
The intrepid explorer doesn't want to stay with the crowds so went wandering
Eventually talked J into coming on to the rougher stuff too
Rivers running through the glacier as it retreats by 10 metres per year
