Yellowstone – Geysers

Do you can't come to Yellowstone without seeing at least a couple of the bigger geysers. Some are more predictable than others. The most predictable is Old Faithful which erupts on average every 93 minutes. Crowds gather for the 5 minute display

Some of the geysers have formed domes like White Dome Geyser and Grotto Geyser

Riverside geyser is a cool one as it is over the other side of the river and erupts over the river. This one lasts for 20 – 25 minutes

But saving the best for last – Grand Geyser. Fully deserves his name as while you have to wait a little longer the eruption is the highest and most impressive.

There were others we sat at and waited, and waited, and waited, and eventually gave up as they clearly weren't planning on performing for us.

  1. What fantastic shots - a golden opportunity missed to set the shot up so that the geyser was appearing to come out of Partick's head - of well, I suppose that's what Photoshop was invented for.

    Keep them coming
