Jackson Hole - Critters

So there is this little road called Moose Wilson Road which runs from Grand Teton to Jackson Hole. If you look online you will see lots of people reporting wildlife viewing and the habitat is supposed to be perfect so we thought we should give it a go

J at the visitors centre in Moose making the most of one of her faves in case we didn't get to see any real ones

Day 1 heading south we drove really slowly and were almost at the end with no sightings when look who popped up

Oh yes, she had a calf with her too. Not at all worried about us stopping to take photos but walked on when the food in that spot dried up a bit

Day 2, driving north we were hoping for more Moose but open to other things too

First sighting was a bear who was a way off up the slope but still cool to watch

Day 2 driving south

More successful on the bear front. One black bear who was stuffing his face with berries about 3 foot from the road. Not the easiest to see

Just as we got by him he decided to go walking

This last ones are without zoom. He was right beside the car and wandered around the back and disappeared into the woods the other side. He caused a pretty significant bear jam with people trying to see where he went. Fortunately the rangers turned up to keep people moving so the bear could have some space
