Bryce Canyon

Despite a day forecast for rain we decided we would still head to Bryce on the off chance it cleared up briefly. All we really knew about Bryce was a) hoodoos and b) the canyon was manageable so you can hike down and back up without needing multiple days or oxygen.

You pass Red Canyon on the way in

The views from the first couple of view points gave a pretty stunning overview of what the place was like

but wouldn't the views be better if we headed down into the canyon just a little?

So if it looks this good from just a short way down how about going all the way down there

As you near the bottom you get to an area called the queens garden

but what goes down must also go up. The views helped a little but the falling rocks weren't too helpful

Great views to finish the hike – shame about the rain but still think we saw the key things. May just take a while to dry out now
