What is Oregon famous for…..well not a lot other than their pinot’s (on the list of ‘Top 100 things to do in Oregon’ - number 62 was leave!).
Lovely countryside but surprisingly small area
Well a small tasting wasn’t going to hurt either – just for comparison purposes you understand….
P in his ‘happy place’. Yes the glass was empty by that point – it seemed to be empty quite a bit...
Some of the other wineries in Williamette; cute traditional buildings.
Even a little mention of Scotland for Ishbel;
One or two more modern wineries but most were more traditional.
Ran out of time so didn’t get to try them all but took a couple of bottles with us to a) remind us and b) keep us warm on those cold nights. True to say Oregon was our coldest state yet. Alaska may top that but who knows...
